Ok Folks This America show was a great show !!! The great John Sebastian opened for America !!! I loved the Lovin Spoonful so seeing John Sebastian was a real treat !!! And seeing him play the Welcome Back Kotter theme song made me appreciate the song even more !!! I love America they’re underrated in my opinion . However this was not the first time I saw America , They were my first concert ever !!! It was April of 1975 and a band called Captain opened the show at the Assembly Hall in Bloomington !!! But sadly along with about a dozen other concert tickets I lost it coming back from L A on a Trail Ways bus !!! I had all my tickets in a photo album at the time which to me turned out to be a bad idea !!! Even with it sealed tight some managed to slip out !! I wrote down the ones I lost but it’s still a bummer !!! Getting back to America my favorite album of theirs is Hat Trick !!! Their song writing is impeccable , I saw them at the Tennis courts a few years later but it wasn’t the same without Dan Peek !!! I am glad I got to see the original band !!!!! – David Cirillo
