Ticket stub says Feb. 9, 1981. I don’t recall why it was postponed until March 5.

According to my Purdue Mortar Board (date book), this Feb. 9 show was postponed due to strep throat.

The only show on Springsteen’s huge North American The River tour that did not sell out. Evidence what a backwater Indy is. See also: Tom Petty’s tour for Damn the Torpedoes, which sold around 4,300 tickets at MSA. The Q was poisoning the airwaves with crap bands bands like Blackfoot and the Outlaws then, while underplaying (or ignoring) the great artists of that era. Petty and Springsteen are now in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
