Joe Bonamassa
This was the Colour and Shape tour for Joe Bonamassa. He was playing the back room at The Slippery Noodle Inn for a Marine Corp toy drive. I snapped these with an old Canon film camera. At the time, I was drumming for most of the regulars that played the noodle, so it wasn’t a big deal for me to walk around at will in the venue (within reason). My good friend Josh Clark and I saw Joe at Birdy’s a few months before this, and I was only hip to him because of Josh, and being active as a drummer in the same genre. I bet 25 people were at Birdy’s, and when he announced the noodle show, I knew I had to take some pics and capture a dude on the start of his rise. – Jake Iseminger
