I was the Union Board Concerts Director at the time of this concert. One particular memory about this show involves the Kansas lead singer at that time, John Elefante. During the afternoon of the show, I was informed that John wanted to be taken to somewhere that had a piano so he could practice. We did not have a piano at Assembly Hall at that particular time, so I told them that I would be happy to take John over to the IU School of Music so he could use one of the student practice rooms with a piano. I was able to help John find an open room with a piano, and waited for about an hour outside the room until he was finished and ready to travel back to Assembly Hall.
