There are currently more than 6,500 Indiana concerts listed in chronological order beginning in 1955. The listing may never include every event, however with your input as we continuously update, we will achieve a comprehensive list of Indiana's major concerts and events .
This was at the old Fort Wayne Armory location downtown, west of Freimann Square. And AC/DC were definitely NOT on the bill – in 1978 they were the far bigger band compared to Molly Hatchet, who had just released their first album in September 1978.
Hey Tom, It would seem to be true, but not so. In fact we promoted a Molly Hatchet show on 7/29/79 at the Evansville Coliseum. We paid Molly Hatchet $5K+$1K bonus as the headline artist, and paid AC/DC $2K+$500 as the special guest. We didn’t promote our first AC/DC headline show until 8/19/80 at Rupp Arena, Lexington. On 9/21/80 we headlined AC/DC at the Fort Wayne Coliseum. We paid them $5K+$19,771 in percentage, they sold out the Coliseum. We had AC/DC on 15 shows as special guest from 8/18/77 until 8/1/79. Our first show with AC/DC, they opened for Foreigner in Indianapolis and we paid them $250. Hard to believe, right? Steve Sybesma, Sunshine Promotions
