My younger brother Mike and I went to see Led Zeppelin at MSA. Jeanne Dickson had predicted in the newspaper that it would collapse from the loud rock music. Presented by Sunshine Promotions. Graduated in ‘67 with one of the founders, Steve Sybesma. We were with our spouses. every once in awhile we would look at each other thinking “Is this it?! when it was especially loud. Sad to say the stage was obstructed and could only see Robert Plant from the knees down until he would go to the front of the stage! Towards the end we got out of our seats toward the guardrail for a better look. Thinking we could run to the exit better ahead of all the thousands. Of course, nothing happened. Chickens. Later I wrote Steve Sybesma and asked for a refund. He said nope and claimed the tickets were sold with an “obstructed view.” No, they weren’t. Nowhere on the ticket did it state that. We were pretty mad about that, but it was fun. Yes could be. Sounds familiar. 🤐

      Hi Marsha,
I hope you are well. I hope you are enjoying this website. However, not sure why you posted this on the Ozzy page. Anyway, I’m glad you got to see Led Zeppelin even if you didn’t have the best seats. Lots of unfortunate people never got to see them. I was there and had fun too.

I called the Dave Letterman Radio Show when he worked here. He laughed. “From the knees down, you say?!” Then my baby boy started fussing as I was holding him and I had to hang up. He’s 51 now! Damn

I took the Metro to the show at 7:00am. Me and my friend Bill were up against the glass doors with nobody else. Soon after people arrived waiting to get in. We spent the whole day waiting to get in. There was a really hot looking babe with her boyfriend that took us under our arms. We shared some smoke and when the doors open her boyfriend held the door open and let us go underneath him. I was 15 years old and want to thank those two friendly people. It was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. Seeing Ted Nugent at MSA was a close second.
