The special guest was Dakota. The show was great – Freddie Mercury introduced his new moustache to a chorus of “booos,” to which Freddie replied with an f-bomb – bit it was clear that he was just kidding. The performance was great – tons of lights and dry ice, and Brian May was a virtuoso with his guitar. Toward the end of the show, FM toppled some speakers and beat them with his sawed-off mic stand. The Indy Star reported it as unscripted, but it was actually a part of the show and repeated itself night after night. Many people in the crowd had painted the Queen logo on sheets and posters and hung them from the balconies – very cool. I was only 15, and remember so much about this show.
