  1. At the age of 12, I got to see the Grandstand show with a friend from grade school!! $10.00 tickets if I’m remembering correctly(could have been $10 for 2 people)and we were 3rd row down from the top screaming our heads off 🙂!! My Mom and brother watched/listened from the fence area East of the Grandstand!! About 1/2 way thru we noticed empty seats down closer and moved-great memories!! Earlier that day WIFE radio announced their route and times from airport to fairgrounds. I lived 2900 on Warman Ave.(off of 30th on their route). A bunch of us kids ran to the corner and got a wave back from the Beatles in their limo-great day all around!!! 🙂

My dad was an assistant at the Grandstand at the Indiana State Fair. He was able to get two tickets for me from the director, Melvin Young. Row A, seats 1 and 2. I sure wish I would have kept those ticket stubs!
