I believe that the tickets were mostly mail order. A lot of people drove down from Indy. Wonder why it was in Bloomington? I went with my senior class buddies from Cathedral. Great show! Got to see Moonie live, and farely sober. Did mostly Who by Numbers stuff from the new album. Pete was fabulous!
Keith came out dressed in and Indy car driver suit. Don’t remember Toots and the Maytals. Maybe I was late and missed them.
The helmet Keith wore had a Monty Python bumper sticker on the front, which I sold him backstage just before the show. I would love to find a good photo of that! I was part of a “Free Monty Python” group that was trying to raise money to get Bloomington’s PBS station to carry the show. I asked Keith if he’d contribute; he said “I helped write that bloody show!” and then turned to the girl who was hanging on his arm and bummed the 5 bucks off her!
I don’t remember Toots and the Maytalls either. I wasn’t late.
