Verizon Wireless Music Center

Noblesville, United States
“You f*#king people are crazy!” – Tom Petty to the over-sold out jam-packed crowd at VWMC Noblesville, IN in 2005 when a torrential rain and lightning storm hit the venue and NO ONE LEFT! lol … crowd continued singing without skipping a beat when the power went out … once power was restored and his mic came on, he quipped the above comment and it took the entire energy of that fabulous night to levels I’ve never felt before or since. Our seats were in the 10th row center, lower Pavillion … and we were drenched to the bone from the rain. We shed clothing down to the essentials after the show walking back to the jeep … a memory that will go on forever. Thank you, Tom. ❤
In all my years of photographing shows, this by far was the best concert experience I’ve ever had. Tom Petty was always a personal favorite of mine. I was lucky enough to cover 5 of his tours through my lens, and in my lifetime, I only missed seeing him once when he came to Indy.
These are some of my images of Tom Petty at Verizon Wireless Music Center for his show in 2005.  Other photos are in the 2006 & 2008 shows.
Enjoy! May his smile and energy continue to bring us all joy!
